Video from Lake George

Here's a video of our trip to Lake George. I'll be posting pictures soon.

9 month appointment

I just got back from Taryn and Asher's 9 month Dr's apt. Taryn is doing great she's 25% for height and 28% for weight. I'm a little worried about Asher though, 2 appointments ago he was around the 30 percentile, last apt he was 15% and this apt he was 5th percentile for height and way below the charts for weight. He's only gained 2 onces in the last 2 months. Of course, my Dr is on vacation this week so the NP said she would call me once he gets back in the office. In the meantime she had me schedule a weight check in 2 weeks.

Dinner time battle

Ughhhhhhh! Lately Dinner time is a battle field with Kaden. He doesn't want to try anything including foods he liked in the past. The other night he sat at the table for an HOUR AND A HALF screaming that he didn't want to try his turkey burger. Finally, he caved and took a tiny little bite, he got a big smile on his face and said "I like it...I think...I'm feeling...happy." Of course the next night it started all over again.

Day at the lake

Last weekend we took the kids up to the lake. Shaun took Kaden fishing for the first time but the only thing he caught was a log. He really wasn't all that into it so it didn't last very long.

We found our favorite little spot in the woods and had a picnic.

Grocery store sushi in the middle of the woods. lol

I ordered a UV/bug guard for the stroller but it hasn't come yet so we had to improvise.

Kaden took this picture. He did a pretty good job, don't ya think.

They love the water but Micah had about 100 time outs for throwing sand.

We had the swimming area completely to ourselves. The kids had a blast and we can't wait to head back.
When we got home my grandmother lectured me on how dangerous the lake can be and how I need to be careful with the kids. I love her dearly but she kills me. I was a lifeguard for 8 years. I think I can handle it.

Random Pictures

Micah's one of those kids that the second he gets a marker/crayon/pen he runs for the wall
(thank God for magic erases). Kaden is supposed to put all of his craft stuff back in his desk drawer when he's done but that rarely happens. So the other day Micah found yet another marker and heres what happened!

All the toys in the world and this is what they play with...

My beautiful baby boy! Please ignore the peas on his forehead and the rice cereal on his shirt. I wasn't the one who cleaned him up after dinner.

We got a new "skateboard" for the stroller. Can you say clown car!

My baby brother's 16!

I can't tell ya how old it makes me feel to tell you my little brother turned 16 last Thursday! I still remember the day he was born and now he has a drivers permit!
He's a golf fanatic so I made him this cake...

We had his party at the county club. They have a great zero entry pool. The kids had a blast! Here's my niece Brooklyn.

My brother with Micah

Kaden

Right before we went t leave Kaden needed to pee but he's terrified of self flushing toilette so as he's sanding in the stall he's saying to himself "there's nothing to be afraid of". Then he flushes, quickly turns to me and buries his face in my shirt. It took everything I had to keep a strait face.
I didn't take any pictures of the babies. My grandmothers had them under the gazebo. The kids had such a good time. I think we may get a membership to the pool in a couple years. Right now it's just to hard to keep track of everyone.

Craft project gone wrong

Last month family fun had a project were the kids put an imprint of their hand in the sand, decorate it with shells, glass, etc and then fill it with plaster paris. When it's done your supposed to have this beautiful hand shaped thingamajig. Well, ours didn't work out to well. The hand print kept falling apart so we decided to just dig a hole instead...

Filled it with plaster paris

Then the kids continued to dump a bunch of junk in there.

Here's the final product. Isn't it lovely!

It kinda reminds me of the ashtrays we all used to make as kids. How messed up is that? Having preschoolers and elementary school kids making ashtrays!?!? I guess we needed somewhere to set our candy cigarettes.
