Last month family fun had a project were the kids put an imprint of their hand in the sand, decorate it with shells, glass, etc and then fill it with plaster paris. When it's done your supposed to have this beautiful hand shaped thingamajig. Well, ours didn't work out to well. The hand print kept falling apart so we decided to just dig a hole instead...

Then the kids continued to dump a bunch of junk in there.
Here's the final product. Isn't it lovely!
It kinda reminds me of the ashtrays we all used to make as kids. How messed up is that? Having preschoolers and elementary school kids making ashtrays!?!? I guess we needed somewhere to set our candy cigarettes.

Oh I remember the ashtrays as a kid-what we did as kids!!!
At least the kids had fun with the project I guess-we have had many crafts go wrong here! I am not crafty so that does not help at all.
